With the URBAN BAZAAR fast approaching, I’ve been working at lightning speed to make as much merchandise as possible. I’m having a great time, though, because I always work best when I’m under the gun. I know people that use that excuse to dress up their procrastinating skills (myself included, to an extent), but I truly do produce my best work when the pressure’s on. I think that’s why I’ve always loved being a reporter/writer—deadlines are terrifying and exhilarating all at once!
Here are some new pieces, all of which will be for sale this Saturday at URBAN BAZAAR and up on my Etsy page ASAP. The yarn necklaces/bracelets are made from this crazy stuff called Mambo Yarn.….something that only that bitch Martha Stewart could come up with. I’m often angry that I love her so much. It messes with my hood-rat image.
The other necklaces/earrings are yellow quartz and silver plated chain and findings. I really love the idea of a simple horizontal bar of color/texture, so I think I may make a few more things using this theme. Also, semiprecious stones make me excited in the pants.
I know I might be sounding like a broken record, but that’s me hustlin’, y’all. So, one last time, come to URBAN BAZAAR this Saturday from 1pm-7pm. Check the facebook page for all pertinent information. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL TALENT!
I love you.
